To purchase school meals all students must use their lunch card, no cash is accepted in the canteen. Student lunch cards can be topped up via ParentPay, either online or at a Pay Point. ParentPay also enables parents and carers to view an itemised list of what their son is buying from the school canteen.
Please be aware that any money uploaded via a designated Pay Point may take approximately 48 hours to be accessible on the ParentPay account. Money uploaded online is instantly available.
Students are welcome to bring their own packed lunch into school if they desire, this must be eaten in the school canteen.
Only students in Year 11 and the Sixth Form are permitted to leave the school premises for lunch time. Year 11 students who fail to return to school promptly by the end of the lunch break may have their lunch privilege revoked, and will be required to remain on the school site during their lunch break.
Free School Meals
Some secondary school students are entitled to free school meals. These must be applied for through Islington Council, and are not handled directly by the school.

Once the school has been informed by the local authority that a student is entitled to free school meals their lunch card will automatically be credited with one school meal for every day the school is open. This will equate to one hot dinner, dessert and drink OR one sandwich, snack and drink. If a parent or carer wishes for their child to purchase extra items (e.g. break time snack) these will not be included in their Free School Meal package and must be purchased by using ParentPay to load money onto the student’s lunch card.
It is important that all students eligible for Free School Meals apply and are registered as FSM entitled, even if they do not wish to make use of the free school meal. The school receives additional funding as part of the Pupil Premium Grant based on the number of students registered for FSM. This additional funding is vital in providing extra support to students and maximising their progress.
