Key Stage 4
In BTEC Level 2 Sport we follow the Pearson specification which is composed of 3 mandatory units and 1 additional unit. One of the mandatory units is assessed through a test. The remaining units will be assessed through coursework throughout the course using Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and video evidence meaning students should have a basic understanding of Computer Science.
Each unit is different and will be delivered through theory and practical work. Students may be required at times to present in a theory lesson and take part of a practical lesson to show their knowledge and understanding for a selected criteria. All units will be graded against the specified criteria for pass, merit and distinction level for that task within a unit. To get a pass students will need to have shown all the pass work criteria has been met in their coursework within a unit. To move up a grade they will need to do the same for merit and then again for distinction.
