Headteacher Paula Whyte hails 'excellent' A Level results
"The consistent hard work of our students has been rewarded," she adds and goes on to describe the impressive grades in 2024 as "richly deserved".
The numbers speak for themselves: 15% of all A level grades were A*/A, 48% achieved A*/A/B and almost three quarters got A*/A/B/C. St Aloysius' College prides itself on a strong and rigorous offer of vocational courses, where the picture looks equally positive: 76% of pupils reached a grade in the top tier of D*/D*/D* to D/D/D.
All Year 13 students secured places on their preferred post-18 courses, including a coveted apprenticeship with international media and finance brand Bloomberg.
"We are so proud of our students who showed real passion for their chosen subjects," Paula Whyte comments. "The solid outcomes they managed to achieve are also testament to our wonderful and committed staff."
Out of the 34 students starting at university, 32% have secured a place in the prestigious Russell Group.
