The Catholic ethos is very important at St Aloysius. Prayers are said each morning at Registration or Assembly. The Angelus is said each day at Noon. We have a Chapel, and Catholic images have a high profile around the school

All pupils attend Mass at St Joseph’s parish church several times a year; at the start and end of term and on Holy Days.

There is a Mass in the School Chapel every Remembrance Sunday, which is attended by many pupils and Old Boys. Mass is also celebrated every Friday morning and all staff and pupils are welcome.

There is an opportunity for pupils to go to confession once a month.

Archbishop Stack (a former pupil) said Mass for two Year Groups, in the Chapel, just before taking up his appointment as Archbishop of Wales.

Archbishop Malcolm McMahon (a former pupil) said Mass in the Chapel last December to celebrate the opening of the new building.

Each Advent and Lent, collections and fund raising events are held for various charities.

We have links to many Catholic agencies who regularly come in to speak to groups of pupils.
